After a few of weeks of heavy duty installations and problems at every turn; suppliers failing to show up and failing to call and say they weren’t going to show up, three suppliers falling ill, two suppliers going on holiday at crucial times, sofa cushions being wrongly upholstered, £2000 worth of lights not being delivered on the day the electrician was on site to instal said lights. Fabric houses not checking their stock on despatch and sending the wrong fabrics, curtain makers misquoting, the Royal Fail not delivering no less than three important mailed out samples to clients, four lamps delayed delivery by a month, chasing, and chasing cast iron radiators that were finally despatched two months after they were supposed to be, many, many client wobbles and my having to yell at more people that I’d ever like to (I hate yelling at people more than I hate being yelled at). I am very glad to put this week to bed.
Talking of beds, this one at Chateau Les Crayeres in Reims, has my name on it. If I didn’t have another three weeks of installations ahead of me, I’d be packing my bags right now…
